Megan McIntosh, Emerging Conservator Award Recipient 2010

Megan McIntosh is a farm girl from Martintown, Ontario.  Megan graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia with a degree in History and is currently finishing her third and final year of the Algonquin College Applied Museum Studies program. Megan feels that one of the major highlights of her time at Algonquin has been her semester-long internship at the North American Carnival Museum Archives in Stittsville, Ontario where she focused on doing conservation treatments and collections management.  Megan also worked on an environmental assessment at the National Capital Commission’s Information Centre and as a Conservation Assistant for Parks Canada in Dawson City, Yukon.
