Help Safeguard Canada’s Cultural Heritage

Expert conservators work every day to protect the art, artifacts, and historic places that shape our diverse cultural identities. From Indigenous cultural belongings to archival records, from historic architecture to contemporary art, these treasures connect us to our past and inspire our future.

The Canadian Association for Conservation of Cultural Property (CAC-ACCR) is a federally-registered charitable not-for-profit organization that promotes responsible preservation of the cultural property that gives Canadians a sense of place, of history, and of artistic expression. As a volunteer run organization the CAC-ACCR uses 100% of your donation to serve individual and institutional members by providing opportunities for networking, professional development, advocacy, and information dissemination.

Why Your Support Matters

Your donation helps us:

  • Support conservators through professional development, training, grants & awards, mentorship, and other career building opportunities.
  • Publish valuable peer-reviewed research to ensure best practices in conservation are accessible for conservation professionals.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation in the conservation of the belongings of Indigenous and other underrepresented cultural communities.
  • Advocate for the importance of conservation in protecting cultural heritage and natural history collections across Canada.

Together, We Can Preserve Canada’s Stories

Your support, no matter how small, makes it possible for us to advocate for the preservation of cultural heritage across Canada. Whether you are a conservation professional, a heritage enthusiast, or a passionate supporter of arts and culture, your donation helps build a stronger, more resilient future for all of our stories.

All donations are eligible for a charitable tax receipt in Canada.

Thanks to you and your generous gift we can continue to support the experts across Canada who connect us to our past and inspire our future through their responsible preservation of cultural property.
