Conference FAQ

Presentations will be given in English. French subtitles are not provided.

Talks will be broadcast live through the PheedLoop Virtual Event platform. Recordings will then be made available on the same platform after a brief delay for caption editing. Videos will be available to attendees for 6 months following the conference.

Two weeks before the conference period, you will receive an invitation to set up a PheedLoop account to the email you used to register. You can watch the live stream of the conference from your phone using the PheedLoop phone app or you can join from your computer.

We politely ask that only those who have registered for the conference watch the livestream however, if a group of you do wish to and can do so safely within the physical distancing guidelines in your area, that you consider donating to CAC. All funds received through conference registrations and donations go to directly support CAC initiatives like making bursaries and grants available to our members, and serving the community by offering virtual and in-person opportunities for us to come together through conferences, workshops, and informal talks.  All donations of $10 or more will receive a tax receipt for the full donation amount.  The CRA requires the donor’s complete name and address for a charity to issue a tax receipt.

Information about the fees can be found here. Fees collected help to offset the costs for the conference platform, and for translation services as part of CACs commitment to bilingualism.
